Looking forward to the future here at Evinyl

It's been awhile since I've uploaded a blogpost. The world has certainly changed since then.  I hope that you and your family are well and that your source of income is intact.

In case it's not clear, and I suspect that it isn't, the point of Evinyl is to create an on-line community of vinyl lovers. There are a handful of us working on the site right now.  And we love vinyl.  We love the way it sounds. We love the artwork. We love the liner notes and all the credits.

There used to be record stores in most every mall and in every hip town. Those days are long gone and they're not coming back.  That is a fact. But it doesn't mean we have to like it.  Not only have so many people lost the vinyl experience.  But we've lost a sense of community, community among music lovers.

But communites come in different forms.  And we're going to build a community right here on this site. In time, this site will become it's own vinyl marketplace.  Our plan is to create a curated online store.  As dedicated music fanatics, we'll be stocking great music that you may or may not be aware of.  Trust us and I think you'll be rewarded.  But we also want your input.  We want you to share with us, with the community.

In time, we may sponsor pressings of albums that otherwise wouldn't be available on vinyl.  Perhaps we'll have a marketplace where individuals can sell or trade music.  The site will evolve and serve the needs of the community, the community that you're a part of.

Please help us by joining and spreading the word.  All we ask is that you bring your knowledge, passion and an open mind.
